The last day of principle photography took place at these amazing strawberry fields in Oxnard.

Such a fun week.

I’m back from one of the most spectacular weeks I’ve ever had. I had the wonderful opportunity to be involved in my good friend Brandon Roots thesis film shoot. The film is called Respiración, and is a love story about two migrant workers in Southern California. Check out the film’s site here. It was so much fun working with this crazy cool group of kids out of NY (and LA). Check out some photos from the shoot below.

Not pictured; driving all over the place at odd hours of the night in a Honda Odyssey (sliding doors ftw), finding a bunch of shotgun shells and a machete in the picture van, eating amazing free food, laughing my ass off with some ridiculously awesome people that I am seriously missing right now.

Over summer it occurred to me that Sufjan Steven’s music could be one of the ripest fields that has yet to be harvested from with the MPC. Thus, when I came across Montreal-based producer Tor’s mixtape Illinoize it was an amazing moment.
