Yesterday at work, Shea and I headed into Little Tokyo to grab some frozen yogurt. Below, Shea demonstrates yet again that there is no place that he cannot send emails.

Heading back to Traction.

A trip back home over the weekend was in order, and after Friday night with the family my roommate and I headed into Santa Barbara. Our kicks below were made good use of as we strolled up and down State Street checking out some of the finest spots that SB has to offer.

Of course no day in Santa Barbara would be complete with out a rocking smoothie from Blenders in the Grass. If you don’t know the sweet taste of The Original or The Red Orange you have not lived.

Solstice parade flags lined State. We missed the parade, but hung out at the festival for a while, which consisted of killer kettle corn and people trying way too hard for it to be the 60′s.

Later on we met up with two of my best friends from high school. Joey can be seen below rocking some phenomenal pieces from Julius. He is currently enjoying summer before heading back to school where he designs sets you can’t even begin to imagine. Jessica has one year left of school until she uses her acting/singing/improv skills to “tear da club up” (my words, not hers). The rest of the evening was spent roasting hot dogs and marshmallows as we caught up on everything that’s been going on.

A great weekend with great friends. I’ll definitely be heading back up again throughout the rest of summer.
I am extremely fortunate this summer to be interning with the menswear brand Apolis Activism. TWC Blog readers may remember me posting some Apolis stuff (Katin collaboration) in the past as I am really into both the clothing and the message the brothers Parton have created. The first few weeks working with the guys behind the brand (Shea, Raan, Stenn, and Foley) have been nothing short of awesome. Each day I’m learning something new and having a blast while doing so.
My first full day I got to help out setting up the current window display at American Rag Cie, which was a great process to see from start to finish. At 9AM Shea, Foley, Tom (formerly of RRL, currently of Wurstküche fame), and I grabbed furnishings from Jeff at Cleveland Art and then headed over to La Brea. I was on window decal duty with Foley. Check out some shots of the finished display below.

Being an intern should not be this much fun.
