Recently spent two weeks traveling through Sweden and The Netherlands with my Dad. His knowledge of European history is unparalleled and thus makes him the perfect co-adventurer when exploring the winding streets, open squares, and spectacular culture of Europe. Below are a few snapshots from our days in Amsterdam. Not pictured are the excursions out of the city to visit with distant relatives across Holland, which above everything else really made the trip for me. Seeing the similarities in the personalities, stories, and values shared across continents and generations definitely will be with me for a long time to come.

Apparently my Grandad drove one of these around LA in the 1960′s. Add one more car to the impossibly badass category – The Citroën DS.

I stopped in at Tenue de Nîmes and had a great chat with Menno (one of the owners and founders). I was blown away by the shop and it’s definitely up there as a perfectly executed and curated selection of menswear. Their site and blog are also worth a visit, and in fact were the reason I decided to see the brick and mortar in the first place.
